Death in the Family

Marie Walesivich just phoned to ask how I was doing. I hit the wall Friday…and it took two days to recover from the drinking that followed- a litre of white wine…and I still could NOT recover!!  My Romanian Aunt ( in true Romanian fashion ) phoned me Friday evening…this was to be followed by Jamie D. from the Sally Ann ( why did he not say there had been a stabbing!!!) You have to read the truth about him, in the police reports in the newspaper…anyway… packing clothes, appraising furniture and nick-knacks…Thank Gawd ,there has been hurricane winds, tornadoes and hail stones in my little corner of the universe. Made my world feel better!!Looking through the M.L.S. for a house or land sustainable in Canada. The cheapest in Quebec-…I would need a car…was $80,000 Four-season cottage in St.Elie. with wood stove. ( Is it insulated , the floors ( i.e. basement)..with what? The Caisse Desjardins mortgages at 2.5%…is there a QC. catch ??

Assuming nobody reads this.

I have lost my bearings, and realise that I have been in this seniors’ block in Winnipeg,MB. too long. Now that my mother has peacefully died on May 28th,2007. I am left all the furniture,clothes and books of the past 40 years.

I made the mistake of contacting Jamie D., where he is staying /living at the Sally Anne;where he has own private room and free meals. It was a mistake…because he still has not changed. Still a neo-fascist..not on my wavelength all.  But I have taken to drinking wine every day…which is not good for the head ,nor liver next day..as for my sore legs and disconnecting knees… too scared to find out. When my medication runs out in a few days…that is when the fun is going to start.     On the 21/06 after a frustrating day… I went to my garden for some solace..and realised that some lazy home care worker had placed some immobile 100 year old man in the heat of the sun…but it was to much for me too handle ; so  I spent the longest day in the darkness of the cement apartment.
